GAYNOR CALLS FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL TO INVESTIGATE SECRET DOSSIER TARGETING SCOTTSDALE PARENTS
Concerns Surround Violations of 1st Amendment Rights and Arizona Law
Phoenix, Arizona – In a letter today to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Republican candidate for Governor Steve Gaynor asked that Attorney General Brnovich investigate members of the Scottsdale Unified School District Board and others identified in the media who may have kept or accessed a dossier of parents who were critical of mandates associated with the coronavirus and other SUSD policies.
“This effort to accumulate sensitive personal information on SUSD parents is reprehensible and completely out of bounds. These actions echo Merrick Garland’s request to have the FBI investigate parents who oppose local school board policies. I have asked the Attorney General to investigate the matter to determine whether there have been violations of the 1st Amendment or Arizona Law” Gaynor said.
